About the team

Join Project BOM at LiU Formula Student, focused on developing a new web-based ERP system tailored to our association’s needs. Currently, our part management system operates within Google Sheets and Google Apps Script. This project marks a shift as we move beyond our current platform’s capabilities. By developing a web application, we aim to enhance how we manage critical functions such as BOM (Bill Of Materials), Inventory, and Production Planning. This transition will help us improve efficiency, scalability, and collaboration across our organization. Join us as we work towards creating a more integrated and advanced ERP solution for LiU Formula Student.

About the work and responsibilities

Applicants will have the opportunity to express preferences for specific roles, allowing them to focus on areas of interest and expertise. Roles such as Lead Developer or Developer will be assigned based on skills, experience, and preference. Each role typically requires 8 hours per week, split across two 4-hour workshops for collaboration, updates, and skill development.

As part of our development team, you’ll be instrumental in:

  • Designing, coding, testing, and deploying key modules of our ERP system.
  • Collaborating closely with team members to ensure seamless integration and functionality across all modules.
  • Contributing to architectural discussions and maintaining high coding standards throughout the development process.

Who we are looking for

We seek enthusiastic individuals eager to contribute their skills and collaborate effectively within the ERP Project. Key criteria include:

Basic Qualifications

Willingness to Learn: An open mindset and a strong desire to acquire new skills and knowledge.

Relevant Studies: Currently enrolled in studies related to Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.

Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language is essential for roles involving software development and customization within the ERP project.

Meritorious Professional and Personal Skills/Competencies

Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Analytical Thinking: Capable of analyzing problems and proposing solutions in the context of the ERP Project.

Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously manage and document technical specifications and system requirements.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate within the team and effectively convey technical concepts to stakeholders.

Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements and technologies.
