About the team

The HR team is quite new and is today consisting of two HR generalists, one recruitment specialist and one HR manager. The HR team’s main goal is to create the foundation of the HR processes that are being used in the association. We are currently focusing on projects related to recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employer branding and creating HR policies in the association. Since there are mostly engineers in Liu Formula Student, we are also focusing on educating the management group and team leaders in HR related issues such as recruitment and leadership. In order for there to be as large of an exchange of knowledge within the HR team as possible, we work closely together and support each other in the various HR processes.

About the role

As our HR Strategist, your main responsibility will be to work with our long term projects. For example, our members are being replaced annually and we would like to know how we can keep every member’s knowledge within the association as much as possible. In addition, we are working on a handbook for our members. It consists of instructions and information about many different HR processes that are useful for Liu Formula Student. Furthermore, we are planning to investigate how other Formula Student teams in the world are working with HR and get inspired by that. 

If you are a first or second year HR student, this role is perfect for you if you want to be introduced to Human Resources Development, which is a course you will be reading during your third year. 

Competencies needed

  • You have an ongoing education in HR or equivalent, or an interest in learning more about HR related issues
  • It is meritorious if you have some previous experience of working with strategic HR

The estimated workload per week is 4-8 hours. 

Liu Formula Student may be a car association and it is always fun to work with people who share the same interest. However, you are of course welcome to apply to our association regardless of whether you are interested in cars or not.
