HR Generalist

Closing on: Jul 31, 2023
Project: ER23
Team: HR

About the team

For the first time in a while, LiU Formula Student stands without an HR team, as a result of several members graduating. The HR team of previous years used to consist of HR Generalists, Recruitment Specialists, an HR Specialist and an HR Manager. The HR team’s main goal has been to create the foundation of the HR processes that are being used in the association. This includes projects related to recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employer branding and creating HR policies in the association. Since there are mostly engineers in LiU Formula Student, the focus has also been to educate the management group and team leaders in HR related issues such as recruitment and leadership. In order for there to be as large of an exchange of knowledge within the HR team as possible, they have worked closely together and supported each other in the various HR processes.

About the role

The HR Team’s HR generalists will work with different projects that the HR team decide together. The projects are based on what the association needs in the short and long term. So far, our previous HR generalists have been focusing on creating an onboarding program and supporting recruitment related activities. As a new HR Generalist you will have the opportunity to focus on offboarding, diversity and inclusion as well as internal and external employer branding. In addition, there is room to undertake other projects in areas that you want to learn more about related to HR. As an HR generalist, you get to be involved and work in many different parts of what HR can offer. It will give you a good foundation in HR where you will be given an insight in many different HR processes.

Competencies needed

  • You have an ongoing education in HR or equivalent, or an interest in learning more about HR related issues.
  • It is meritorious if you have previously worked with/learned about recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employer branding and/or worked in other HR processes.

You are

  • Goal-oriented
  • Communicative
  • Structured
  • Creative
  • Open minded

The estimated workload per week is 4-8 hours.

LiU Formula Student may be a car association and it is always fun to work with people who share the same interest. However, you are of course welcome to apply to our association regardless of whether you are interested in cars or not.
