HUMAN RESOURCES – HR MANAGER & HR TEAM
ABOUT THE TEAM
The HR team’s main goal is to create the foundation of the HR processes which are being used in the association. We are currently focusing on projects related to recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, and creating HR policies in the association. A large part of our work consists of supporting the management group and team leaders in HR related issues, such as conflict management and leadership. In order for there to be as large of an exchange of knowledge within the HR team as possible, we work closely together and support each other in the various HR processes. The HR team is one of the newer teams in the association and our goal is to expand.
Being part of the HR team will challenge and develop all the skills needed in HR-related work, as well as improve your teamwork, creativity and strategic abilities.
ABOUT THE WORK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This year we are looking for both an HR-manager and new members of the HR team.
Being part of the HR team means you get to work with all different kinds of HR-related assignments. This year the team has mainly focused on creating an HR-handbook, supporting management in HR-issues, as well as planning and organising the recruitments and membership satisfaction surveys of the year. These are tasks which we will continue to work on during the upcoming year, as well as updating the organisation’s bylaws.
As long as the basic HR-functions are seen to and working well, members of the team have the possibility to plan and work on a HR-related project that interests them, granted that the HR-manager deems the project beneficial for the association. Earlier the HR team has been working on an inclusion project as well as creating an onboarding program, but members of the team have a great opportunity to influence their own work and assignments. The estimated workload per week for a member of the HR team is 5-8 hours, but depending on the time of year and which projects the members initiate, the workload and time needed can vary quite a lot. The 5-8 hours are distributed between two workshops on the evenings of Mondays and Wednesdays.
As HR-manager you will be part of two groups in the association, both the HR team and the leadership group, and act as a link between them. You will lead the HR team, ensuring it is working towards the goals of the association. You are responsible for the recruitment and selection processes throughout the year, as well as for the members of the HR team and distributing and designating HR-related tasks. Additionally it falls within your scope of responsibility to keep track of the work of your team and attend meetings with the leadership group and the HR team. This role requires an estimated 8-10 hours of work per week, but it can vary quite a lot depending on the time of year and what projects the HR team have taken on.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for applicants who have an ongoing education in HR or equivalent, alternatively an interest in learning more about HR related issues.
Furthermore it is meritorious if you´ve previously worked with recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employer branding and/or other HR processes. It would also be meritorious if you have experience from organising projects and working strategically. We are searching for people who take initiative, are good at communicating and who are strategically goal-oriented.
A basic prerequisite for working in our HR team is that you enjoy working with people.
All of the information above regarding requirements and merits applies to the role of HR-manager as well. In addition to that, it is also meritorious to have previous experience from leading projects and groups. Lastly, it is advantageous if you are good at building relationships and motivating others.
