About the team:

The driverless team are responsible for both the software systems and the mechanical systems for developing an autonomous formula student car. This year the focus will solely be on software development.

The Team Leader role for the Driverless team is quite unique since we work in iterations, which means that changes happen fast and new short plans are created often. Because the driverless project is in its second year there are a lot of unknowns which means that the driverless team leader has great influence in the future of our driverless development. The Team Leader role for the Driverless team requires good cooperation and communication skills, since you will work together with both your team members and other team leaders. A good grasp of Linux and programming is meritorious but not strictly necessary.

The estimated workload is 10-12 h/week.

Preferable competences:

Because of all the areas the driverless team is responsible for this we are looking for students with experience in several fields. Experience in the fields listed below is not required but preferred.

  • CAD 
  • PCB design
  • Soldering
  • Programming
    • Python
    • C++
  • ROS (Robot operating system)
  • Sensor fusion
  • Micro controllers
  • Large group projects
